According to SBI’s tweet, if you apply for Jan Dhan card as SBI, you will get accident insurance up to Rs 2 lakh. For this you have to swipe the card once in 90 days. By doing this you will be entitled to get accident insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh.
Documents required for opening a Jan Dhan account
>> You can submit documents fulfilling KYC requirement including Aadhaar card, passport, driving license to open Jan Dhan account.
>> If you do not have the documents, you can open a small account.
>> In this you have to have a self certified photograph and your signature in front of the bank officer.
>> You don’t have to pay any fee to open a Jan Dhan account.
>> Anyone 10 years or older can open this account.
